I named this painting series, Prayers. Why?
Every day my pup Zara and I walk the Gatineau River watching the light dance through barren trees. Our backdrop: the ever-changing water reflecting all the colours of the rainbow. Often the walks take place early morning. Or at sunset… a sacred walk.
About the paintings: The yellow/orange paint represents my thoughts/words/prayers moving upward. The dancing trees: my rootedness to Mother Earth. The space between the branches: stained glass. Hence the title, Prayers.
PS Puppy zara is not so esoteric. She is only interested in the squirrels.
